Annual Rounds: 65,000+

Staffing: 7 full time, inmates

Typical Schedule: 5 days a week, every other weekend

Turf Type: Tifeagle greens, 419 tee’s, fairways, rough

Assistant Superintendent Position

The Assistant Superintendent helps manage daily operation of the course. The Assistant Superintendent reports to the Superintendent and Director of Agronomy.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in daily golf course setup, conditioning and operation.

Assist with irrigation management and troubleshooting.

Directs the daily duties of staff.

Applies chemicals and fertilizer.

Maintain accurate chemical records

Responsible for operation of equipment, calibration and operation.

Help hire and train new staff.

Qualifications

1 to 3 years of golf course maintenance or management experience.

Must have a Georgia pesticide license (or obtain within 90 days)

Experience with warm season turf grasses.

Desire to grow into a Superintendent role.
