Superintendent

River North is seeking an accountable, hands-on Superintendent to lead all phases of Golf Course Maintenance and Agronomic operations.

Duties:

• Plan and supervise all aspects of daily golf course maintenance: mowing, bunker preparation, tee and green care, and general course setup
• Implement and execute agronomic programs, including fertilization schedules, soil amendments, and turf health monitoring
• Manage and maintain course irrigation system; monitor soil moisture levels, adjust run times, and perform regular maintenance
• Execute pest management strategies to control disease, weeds, and insects
• Coordinate with the Owner on long-term planning of course enhancements
• Supervise the recruitment, training, development, and evaluation of all maintenance staff
• Maintain detailed records for budgeting, chemical applications, irrigation logs, and maintenance schedules
• Communicate regularly with the golf professional staff regarding course conditions, maintenance schedules, and tournament setup
• Assist in the development of annual operational budgets and monitor spending throughout the fiscal year
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Two or four-year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Prior golf course management or assistant superintendent experience.
• Current Commercial Pesticide License
