Irrigation Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency for various landscaping and golf course projects.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the irrigation system is maintained, tuned and in full working order electrically and physically
• To complete or oversee all work pertaining to the irrigation system
• To ensure that emergency irrigation repairs are completed prior to weekend
• To ensure that weekday emergency repairs are completed by days end if possible
• To upgrade the irrigation system as is necessary
• To ensure all irrigation hardware and watering equipment is maintained and working order
• To ensure accurate records are kept and if modifications of the irrigation system are made. Mapping of the golf course pipework and valves and wiring, which can include drainage projects.
• To work alongside irrigation contractors

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to irrigation systems.
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
