A 2-year degree preferably in Agronomy/Horticulture field a plus
Pesticide Applicators License
Continued education through seminars, educational sessions and conferences
Must have technical and working knowledge of all equipment, products, and other resources related to Golf Course operations and to implement these resources to the level of quality as established by company standards
Assistant Superintendent is responsible for assisting in evaluating and assessing golf course maintenance needs, assisting in the planning of maintenance schedules, and supervising the work of the golf course maintenance crew. Work includes supervising course staff, course playability, golf course irrigation, pesticide application, and related work. The Assistant reports directly to the Golf Course Superintendent.
