TWA is collaborating with Augusta Technical College and the GCSAA to address the most pressing issue that veterans face after leaving the military – successful transition into the civilian workforce. Our signature IMPACT program, Operation Double Eagle®, is a veteran workforce development program in Augusta, GA that helps transitioning active-duty service members and veterans to transfer their military skills to careers in the golf industry including maintenance and operations, turf, irrigation, horticulture, mechanic, tech spray, landscaping, and construction.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
TWA seeks a part-time superintendent to serve as the Operation Double Eagle’s Performance Center instructor which is located adjacent to the Augusta Municipal Golf Course. The position requires an individual who is well versed in teaching staff on golf course management, renovation, and maintenance with experience in overseeing teams performing major projects. Service members and veterans will complete the program's 5- week online academic courses and 4-weeks of hands-on skills development training to achieve a certificate with 13 hours of accredited college credit. Graduates will be available for employment upon graduation.

This is a part-time position M-F from 9am-3pm and will require on-site support according to The Warrior Alliance cohort schedule. The individual will also provide planning, oversight of the Double Eagle Performance Center worksite, and help to promote Operation Double Eagle to golf industry companies, clubs and organizations.
