Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Marietta Country Club - Kennesaw, GA
Full-time
Application Deadline: Aug 9, 2024
Assistant Superintendent

Marietta Country Club is a 27-hole Private Club in Kennesaw, Georgia.  Founded in 1915, the Club moved to its current location in 1990 after building a brand new 18-hole golf course designed by the late Bob Cupp.

Over the next three years, MCC will be renovating the golf course and practice facilities. This will be a great opportunity for an aspiring Assistant to get construction and grow-in experience as we rebuild our putting greens and convert the fairways to zoysiagrass.  We are looking for a hardworking, motivated individual who wants to have fun at work while continuing to work towards being a head superintendent.

The Assistant Superintendent will report to the Golf Course Superintendent and help guide all other staff to complete day-to-day activities.

  • Irrigation troubleshooting and maintenance. Toro (Lynx/Osmac) a plus

  • Equipment operation and troubleshooting

Requirements:

  • 2 or 4-year Turfgrass Management degree or similar
  • 1-3 years of prior golf course experience a plus but not required
  • Current Georgia Pesticide License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Must have an eye for detail
