Assistant Mechanic

The Standard Club is looking for an eager individual to learn and work alongside an experienced equipment technician.  The Standard Club is an 18 hole private club with A1 bentgrass greens, 419 fairways and rough, 419 tees with a mixture of Zeon Zoysia as well.  The Standard Club has a mixture of Toro and John Deere eqiupment with most cutting units being Toro and most utility vehicles being John Deere.

Applicants job duties will include (but not limited to):

• Routine/preventative maintenance to all golf course equipment and clubhouse carts
• Bedknife/reel sharpening (tear down, grinding, assembly, setting heights of cut)
• Foley 653 Accu Master Reel Grinder 
• Helps to maintain repair records on all equipment
• Able to diagnose problems/work on small engines (backpack blowers, weedeaters, etc.)
• Ability to lift 75 pounds 
• Be able to ride the golf course and diagnose potential issues with cutting units
• Be a team player and be open to helping in other areas on the golf course when the need arises

This is a full-time position working at least 40 hours a week (some weeks may dictate longer than 40 hours). 

Compensation and Benefits:

• $22-25/hr, DOE
